The Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation has today reported that more than 100 thousand people who were in the vicinity of the 911 terrorist attack may have been exposed to asbestos and may thus be at risk of developing mesothelioma during the next 10 to 50 years. Currently, there is no hugely effective treatment but MARF believes that increased funding may bring a cure which would benefit those implicated in the 911 attack.
