Lupus treatment shows promising results

A medication called mycophelolate mofetil is capable of controlling the symptoms of systemic lupus erythematosus - the most prevalent form of lupus. It was effective against non-renal lupus and had very few side effects. SLE symptoms include fever, joint pain, fatigue and hair loss. No cure is available for SLE and the other available treatments have high risk of such conditions as infertility and cancer.
