An erectile problem due to erectile dysfunction (ED)/impotence is when a man cannot get an erection in order to engage in sexual activities. There are many conditions that can lead to impotence, including both physical and mental causes such as diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, depression and post traumatic stress disorder. Physical causes can be addressed by a physician with medications, and psychological causes can be treated by a physician or psychologist with counselling and psychological drugs.
