Detection of misdiagnoses under threat as more people object to post mortems

The growing concern over organ and body tissue mishandling has led to increasingly fewer people permitting non-coroner autopsies. The autopsies allow medical audit's to occur during which misdiagnoses or better options for treatment may be discovered. A lot of learning opportunities are lost. Also, fewer organs and tissues are being permitted for use in teaching and research facilities which inhibits the learning of medical students.
