Description of Multiple endocrine deficiency syndrome

Multiple endocrine deficiency syndrome: acquired deficiency of the function of several endocrine glands, usually on an autoimmune basis, in types I and II in children and adult, respectively. SYN: multiple glandular deficiency syndrome, polyendocrine deficiency syndrome, polyglandular deficiency syndrome.
