Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, infantile, included (medical condition): An inherited muscle disease involving slowly progressive muscle weakness. The condition is characterized by the early involvement of facial and shoulder muscles. Muscle weakness then spreads to the pelvis and legs. The onset, severity and rate of progression is variable.
