Mental illness
Mental illness: Introduction
The term "mental illness" may refer to a variety of psychological or psychiatric disorders,
but tends to be used to describe the more severe types of mental health disorders.
Less severe mental health problems tend to be called "disorders" or "syndromes"
rather than "illness".
