Treatments for Juvenile Paget disease

  • Treatment may involve surgery to correct bone deformities, fractures or to release nerves trapped by abnormal bone formation. The condition may be managed through administration of bisphosphonates or calcitonin injections - this is not a cure but can reduce symptoms. Pain medication may be needed to control pain. Affected patients should eat a healthy diet with good levels of calcium and vitamin D to support the bones.
