Glossary for Fallot syndrome
- Arrhythmias: Irregularity in the heart's beating rhythm.
- Bleeding disorders: Any disorder leading to bleeding or bruising.
- Breathing difficulties: Various types of breathing difficulty (dyspnea).
- Infective endocarditis: The infection and inflammation of the inner heart layers, especially the valves. The infection is usually bacterial. The condition carries a high risk of death.
- Poor feeding: Poor feeding (mostly in infants)
- Tetralogy of Fallot: A condition which is characterized pulmonary stenosis, interventricular septal defect, right ventricular hypertrophy and dextroposition of the aorta
- Ventricular septal defect: An abnormal connection between the 2 lower chambers (ventricles) of the heart.
