Glossary for Ectopic pregnancy
- Abdominal Pain: A condition which is characterized by the sensation of pain that is located in the abdomen
- Acute Appendicitis: Infection of the appendix
- Bacterial vaginosis: Bacterial vaginal infection
- Bleeding symptoms: Any type of bleeding symptoms.
- Chlamydia: Common sexually transmitted disease often without symptoms.
- Choriocarcinoma: Rare cancer of the placenta
- Diethylstilbestrol antenatal infection: A very rare syndrome characterized mainly caused by exposure to diethylstilbestrol (used to prevent complications during pregnancy such as miscarriage and prematurity) during pregnancy
- Dysuria: Painful urination
- Fainting: Temporary loss of conciousness or fainting.
- Fallopian tube conditions: Conditions that affect the fallopian tubes of a woman
- Female infertility: Infertility that affects the female
- Hydatidiform mole: A rare condition where an abnormal union between an egg and a sperm results in the formation of grape-like cysts instead of a baby. The growth is not malignant.
- Hysterectomy: The surgical removal of the female uterus
- Infertility: Inability of couples to establish pregnancy by having sexual intercourse over a period of time, usually more than 1 year in length.
- Interstitial cystitis: A rare condition involving inflammatory disease of the bladder which progresses slowly.
- Male infertility: The inability of the male to reproduce
- Non-Specific Urethritis: Urethral infection usually sexually transmitted
- Ovarian Cancer: Cancer of the ovaries.
- Ovarian cysts: Cysts occurring in the ovaries.
- Pelvic Inflammatory Disease: Infection of the womb and fallopian tubes.
- Peritonitis: Inflammation of the lining of the abdominal cavity
- Pregnancy: The condition of supporting a fetus from conception till birth.
- Pyelonephritis: Kidney and ureter infection usually bacterial from the bladder.
- Salpingitis: Inflammation of the fallopian tubes
- Sepsis: The presence of pathological micro-organisms in the blood
- Shock: Severe condition from reduced blood circulation
- Shoulder Pain: A pain that occurs in the shoulder. There is often other associated symptoms depending on the cause of the shoulder pain. For example, swelling may indicate a broken bone.
