Broken toe: Introduction

A break or fracture of a bone in the toe. A toe consists of several bones, any of which can be broken. A toe can be broken due to some sort of trauma such as stubbing a toe or dropping something heavy on it. A toe may also develop a stress fracture which can happen when a toe is overused during certain sports.
