Arrhythmias: Irregularity in the heart's beating rhythm.
Becker Muscular Dystrophy: A muscular dystrophy charaterised by enlargement of muscles
Carrier conditions: A condition where a person is symptom-free despite a genetic or infectious disease
Congenital Muscular Dystrophy: Muscle weakness and wasting that starts at birth or around the time of birth. The severity and extent of muscle involvement is greatly variable.
Dilated cardiomyopathy: A rare chronic heart muscle condition where one or both heart ventricles are dilated or have impaired contractility.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy: An inherited degenerative disease of the muscles which progresses rapidly compared to other muscle wasting diseases.
Emery-Dreifuss Muscular Dystrophy:
Eye symptoms: Symptoms affecting the eye
Genetic Disease: Any disease that is handed down to oneself through the chromosomes of ones parents
Limb-girdle Muscular Dystrophy: A condition which is characterized by a slowly progressive muscular dystrophy
Lordosis: Spinal curvature forward in the lower back
Muscle weakness: A condition which is characterized by an inability of the muscles to function at their full strenght
Muscular Dystrophy: Any of various muscle wasting diseases
Muscular Hypertrophy: An increase in the size of the muscle cells.
Myopathy: General name for any disease of the muscles.
Proximal muscle weakness: Weakness of the proximal muscles
Recessive Genetic Diseases: A disease that produces an effect in humans only when it is homozygous
Walking symptoms: Problems with walking.
X-linked Genetic Diseases: Genetic disease where the mutated gene is on the X chromosome
X-linked Recessive Genetic Diseases: Genetic disease where the mutated gene is recessive and on the X chromosome
