Barber's rash: Introduction
Infection of the follicles of facial hair. The condition usually arises because of lack of hygiene during shaving - e.g. dirty razors, shaving brushes or towels. Staphylococcus aureus is the bacteria responsible for the rash. The infection can spread to nearby hair follicles relatively easily and often antibiotics are needed to clear up the condition. ...more »
