Glossary for Autoimmune oophoritis

  • Autoimmune diseases: A group of disorders in which the primary cause is the an inflammatory reaction caused by the body's own immune system attacking tissues
  • Bleeding symptoms: Any type of bleeding symptoms.
  • Fever: Elevation of the body temperature above the normal 37 degrees celsius
  • Infertility: Inability of couples to establish pregnancy by having sexual intercourse over a period of time, usually more than 1 year in length.
  • Lower abdominal pain: The occurrence of pain located in the lower abdominal region
  • Malaise: General feelings of discomfort or being ill-at-ease.
  • Menopause: The end of female menstruation and fertility.
  • Nausea: The queasy feeling of nausea and often also vomiting.
  • Oophoritis: Ovary inflammation
  • Ovary conditions: Any condition that affects a female ovary
  • Vaginal discharge: Discharge from the vagina as a symptom
  • Vomiting: Vomiting or retching symptoms.
