Glossary for Aagenaes syndrome

  • Cholestasis: A condition where the bile flow is impaired or completely halted.
  • Cholestasis, Intrahepatic: A liver disorder where the bile is unable to flow properly through the liver. The severity of the condition is variable depending on the cause of the condition.
  • Cirrhosis of liver: Chronic liver disease wherein normal liver parenchyma is replaced by fibrous tissue.
  • Jaundice: Bile or liver problem causing yellowness.
  • Leg swelling: Swelling of one or both legs
  • Liver symptoms: Symptoms affecting the liver
  • Lymphedema: Swelling causes by lymphatic fluid retention
